Students are encouraged to read and then take a computerized AR reading test when they  have finished. This program helps motivate students to read good books at their reading level. It provides reliable immediate feedback for the student and teacher. All Hamblen County schools now have a web-based Accelerated Reading Program with 101,000 possible tests. It contains a current selection of databases that supports the needs of students and faculty. You have free unlimited access to research information 24 hours a day, seven days a week through internet connection. Simply click on the link below to access it. The most user friendly database for elementary students is InfoTrac Kids Edition K12 Interface. All of the databases contain magazine, encyclopedia, and newspaper research information.
