Class Expectations
Every student should read daily, either a book of choice or the assigned reading for class.
Every student should bring the needed supplies to class each day.
1. Folder with pockets and prongs, which will be your class notebook
2. Spiral bound notebook for writing assignments in class
3. Red grading pencils, paper, pencils, hand-held pencil sharpener
Every student will be allowed to make up missing assignments due to absences (ex. If your child misses two days, he or she will have two days to make up the missing work).
Students should report to class on time with materials and immediately begin working on daily work. Daily work includes two daily oral language (DOL) sentences to be corrected and written for handwriting practice. We will then continue with the day’s lesson.
Grades
Homework and daily assignments will count once.
Weekly DOL quizzes count once.
Tests will count twice.
Journals are graded once during the six weeks and will count twice.
