Reading      Current Topics of Study (click on image for specific class period):                                    Grading procedure for reading classes: Homework/Daily Activities.........40% Tests...........................................40% Book Report Project..................20% Homework/Daily Activities: This portion of the grade will include various activities related to stories we are covering or general reading content skills, as well as various writing assignments. Tests:  Tests will be given periodically over stories, units, and reading skills covered in class.  Students will receive advance notice of all tests. Book Reports:  Students will be expected to read 1 book on their own during each six weeks and complete a book report project to be assigned by the teacher.  The book must be an appropriate reading level. The following is a list of genres will be explored in 7th grade reading: Fiction Non-fiction Drama Poetry Mythology & Oral Traditions Fables & Parables
