Reading
We have started a new unit called "Person to Person." The stories in this unit talk about how helping another person will help you too. We will be working on this unit for the month.
Math
We are working on fractions, mixed numbers, and improper fractions.
Language We will be using the new Houghton Mifflin Reading Series this year. We will be working on all types of adjectives, expanded and multi-meaning vocabulary.
Spelling
Weekly spelling is linked to the topics in all of our reading stories. These lists can be found in the back of the student's workbook.
Science
In science we will be covering cell biology.
Social Studies
We will continue the industrial revolution and move westward with the pioneers.
Extra curricular Activities
The 4-H speech contest will be held at the Jan. 31st.
Special Announcements:
Our writing assessment test will be Wednesday, February 6, 2008
