APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS!!!  Only 18 days of school left.  Everyone is anxiously awaiting the end of school, BUT school is not over yet.  We still have a few more things we need to cover before the end.  The things you are learning now will help you prepare for the 4th grade.  Here are the skills for next week:
READING:      READ!! READ!!! READ!! We will be reading Ramona Quimby, Age 8 in our reading book.  The skill will be making generalizations and summarizing.

MATH: Review Multiplication facts.  We are working on 2 digit multiplication and simple division.  Keep on working on your facts we will have another BIG test next week.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES: We will work on several skills for Social Studies and for Science.  We will do a little of each subject each day.  30 min of each if necessary.

SPELLING:  Words will go home on Monday for next week's words.  Contractions will be our focus.

ENGLISH:  We are working on Adverbs and reviewing all other grammar.

On Friday's red folders will be coming home from now on.  I would like all F papers signed.  This will let me know that you have seen the children's papers.  Some are still not taking all papers home.  Also, I will be sending the newsletter home on this day as well.  Please remember to sign the reading logs as well as the planners each night.

Again, if you ever need anything or need to talk to me please feel free to do so.  Call the school and we can schedule an appointment.  THANKS!!

I want to tell you a little about myself.  This is my first year teaching school and I have enjoyed every minute of it.  I am married to Jason and   I have two children~ Austin is 10 years old in the 5th grade ; Abi is 8 years old in the 3rd grade.  Both of them attend Witt Elementary School.  I attended Tusculum College where I received my degree in Elementary Education.  My husband was in the United States Navy and we were blessed to be able to travel and live in two states.  I have now lived in four states.  Right now my kids are enjoying several different sport activities.  Austin loves to race go-carts and play football.  Abi loves soccer and playing basketball.  This is what I do in my free time.  I go to these events with my family.  I enjoy teaching and have a passion to help kids lea rn as much as they can.
