WELCOME BACK!!!   We are back and moving!  The month of August brings new beginings!!  We will be doing beginning of the year testing and jump right in with both feet to our curriculm before the end of the first week.  My students will be bringing their Second Grade Planner home each day to show off their "fantastic" behavior for the day and to let you know of a homework assignment.  Please initial the yellow box each day.  As dates are given to me, I will send them home to you and post them on the web page.  Please look for a class news letter on each Monday.

        7:50 - 8:00     Prepare for the day.

        8:00 - 8:30              Morning Work

        8:30 - 10:30    Reading/Literacy Centers

        10:30 - 11:00      Language/Spelling

        11:10 - 11:40        Lunch

        11:40 - 12:00        Recess

        12:00-12:05          Bathroom/Water

        12:05 - 1:00         Math

        1:00 - 2:00         Special Classes

        2:00 - 2:35             Health, Science, Social Studies

        2:35-2:45           Journal Writing

On P.E. days please remember to send your child in tennis shoes.

 Special Treats - Monday is ice cream day at lunch!

                                Friday is slushie day after special classes!

READ, READ, READ!!!  

We will begin logging books for our Literacy Program on September 19th.  Don't let that STOP you from reading. The more you practice reading the better reader you will become!!

      A little about the Teacher!!

        Well, we are back at school with bells on!!!  I hope everyone had a great summer and a restfull one.  My family had lots of fun enjoying sleeping late, swimming, and staying up late.  We are in shock to go to bed early and get up early.  Connor is in the second grade at Russellville and Lilabeth is going to an awesome sitter, Mrs. Paige!  I am looking forward to working with your child (children).  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at the number or email address below!
